Josh Holloway (Sawyer in Lost) and J.J. Abrams reunited for the first time since Lost for Duster, a 1970s crime thriller on Max. The pitch from Abrams: "You're a wheel man for the mafia in 1972." Holloway said yes immediately. The show premiered May 15, 2025, with Rachel Hilson co-starring as the first Black female FBI agent. Critics loved it — 92% on Rotten Tomatoes, 83% audience score. Not enough. Max canceled Duster after one season on July 9, 2025. Holloway had openly described his "hard seven years" after Lost during press, and told the Hollywood Reporter he's open to a Lost reboot: "Why not?"
