Harold Perrineau reveals a Lost actress hasn't spoken to him in 20 years
April 28, 2026 — The Independent / Complex / Bleeding Cool

Harold Perrineau (Michael Dawson in Lost) revealed in an April 2026 interview with The Independent that one of his former co-stars still refuses to speak to him — twenty years after his character killed Ana Lucia (Michelle Rodriguez) and Libby (Cynthia Watros) in cold blood in Season 2, Episode 20, "Two for the Road" (May 2006). The behind-the-scenes truth: Perrineau was the only actor on set told the scene in advance. Producers told him: "he's coming back, here's what he's going to do, and we are not telling anybody until the day we shoot it." Rodriguez and Watros learned that morning they were being killed off. One of them never got over it.
"This is really weird to say, but one of the actresses to this day still doesn't talk to me — like I wrote it. I didn't write it! I'm doing what you're doing — I'm doing my job!" Perrineau told The Independent. He refuses to say which actress. Lost fans have been guessing for twenty years. Both Rodriguez and Watros spoke publicly about their shock at the time, but one has chosen lasting silence. Perrineau is currently starring in MGM+'s FROM Season 4 — produced by Lost veterans Jeff Pinkner and Jack Bender — as Sheriff Boyd Stevens, another man weighed down by choices forced on him. Twenty years after Michael pulled the trigger, the island still casts its shadow.
