Nestor Carbonell (Lost's Richard Alpert) is an elite killer in Ready or Not 2
March 20, 2026 — Variety / The Wrap / Searchlight

Nestor Carbonell, who played the ageless Richard Alpert on Lost, returns as a villain in Ready or Not 2: Here I Come, released March 20, 2026 by Searchlight Pictures. He plays Ignacio El Caído, the sniper-wielding head of one of five elite families competing in a deadly game of hide-and-seek. Directed by Radio Silence (Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett, the Scream duo), the sequel brings back Samara Weaving as Grace, now hunted again — this time over a magical ring and ultimate power. The cast also includes Sarah Michelle Gellar, Elijah Wood, Kathryn Newton, and director David Cronenberg as a family patriarch.
The film premiered at SXSW on March 13, 2026 and grossed $42.8 million worldwide against a $14 million budget, earning 74% on Rotten Tomatoes and 7.8 on IMDb. The Lost thread is clean: Richard Alpert was the island's oldest soul, the man who never aged across decades of DHARMA, the Others, and generations of survivors. Carbonell hasn't aged either — and he isn't slowing down. In 2026 alone he's shooting the historical thriller Pedro Pan, appearing in The Rip, and making his directorial debut with Three Things. The man who played the immortal keeps crossing time without anyone seeing him coming.
