Jack sees his father. Standing in the jungle. In a suit. Impossible. Christian Shephard is dead. Jack knows this. He brought the coffin back from Australia himself.
He follows anyway. Through trees, ravines, dense vegetation. The ghost leads him to a cliff edge, then vanishes. Jack nearly falls. Locke catches him.
