Michael is gone. Alone. Into the jungle. Looking for Walt. Jack wants to catch up to him. Locke and Sawyer follow. Armed.

They push into the Others' territory. Torches light up around them. A man appears. Bearded. Calm. Threatening. He calls himself Mr. Friendly. His message is simple: this island is ours. You crossed a line. Don't do it again.

In flashback, Jack loses his wife. Sarah leaves him. He's so obsessed with control he doesn't see her leaving. Jack wants to save everything. Except some things can't be saved. On the island, he learns the same lesson.
