Sayid is alive. But Dogen tests him. Electric shocks. Burns. He tells the others: "He failed the test." Sayid has been "infected". Something is growing inside him. The same thing that took Claire.

Jack refuses to accept it. He came back to life, that's all. The island heals. Dogen gives him a pill. Green. For Sayid. Jack hesitates. He swallows it himself. Dogen panics. Makes him spit it out. It's poison. They were trying to kill Sayid.

In the alternate reality, Kate escapes from the marshal. In a taxi. With Claire in the back. Pregnant. Kate helps her give birth at the hospital. The doctor: Ethan. Ethan Goodspeed. The same Ethan. But kind here.

Jack runs into Locke at the airport. In a wheelchair. "The airline lost my father's coffin." Locke smiles. "They're just bones. Your father isn't in that box." A connection passes between them.

Sawyer leaves the cage where he was imprisoned. He carries Juliet's body. He digs her grave. Miles hears Juliet's last words. What she wanted to tell Sawyer. "It worked." The bomb worked. But how, if the island is still there?

Two realities. Echoes between them. Familiar faces in different roles. Something connects them. Something they don't understand yet.
