Charlie is withdrawing. Heroin eats at him. Locke knows. He offers a deal: give me your drugs. On the third request, I'll give them back. Promise.

A cave-in traps Jack in the caves. Charlie is the only one small enough to squeeze through the rubble. He goes. Withdrawing, shaking, but he goes. He gets Jack out.
