Miles gets a DHARMA mission. Transport a body. In silence. No questions. The dead man had a metal filling. Ripped through his skull. By electromagnetic force. They're building the Swan station. The energy beneath the earth is powerful.

On the island, Miles sees Pierre Chang. The scientist from the DHARMA videos. Dr. Marvin Candle. His father. He watches from a distance. Chang holds a baby in his arms. It's Miles. Baby. Hurley gets involved: "You should talk to him. I would have loved to talk to my father." Miles doesn't do it. Not yet. But he finally understands: his father didn't abandon him. He put him on the submarine to save him.
