The island vanished. Ben turned the wheel. And those who stayed behind — Sawyer, Juliet, Jin, Miles, Daniel, Locke — jump through time. No control. A flash. 1954. Another flash. The future. Then the past.
The Lie
Hurley can't take it anymore. The lie eats away at him. He drives with unconscious Sayid in his car. Sayid has been drugged. Hurley is suspected of murder. The cops are hunting him.
Jughead
Desmond at Oxford. He's looking for Daniel Faraday's mother. Daniel told him: "Find my mother." At the university, nobody knows any Daniel Faraday. Then Desmond finds a lab. Closed. And a woman. Daniel's former assistant. She's in a vegetative state. Daniel's time experiments had victims.
The Little Prince
Off the island, Kate receives a subpoena. Someone wants a DNA test. For Aaron. Someone knows she's not his mother. Kate panics. She searches for who's behind it. A lawyer. An anonymous client.
This Place Is Death
Jin is with Rousseau in 1988. Her team explores a temple. They go inside. The smoke monster attacks them. An arm ripped off. Rousseau finds them later. Changed. "Sick," she says. She kills them. All of them. Including Robert, Alex's father. He had pointed his gun at her. The clip was empty.

Locke lands in Tunisia. Broken leg. Widmore picks him up. Gives him a passport. Jeremy Bentham. A mission: convince the Six to return. One by one.

White flash. Jack, Kate and Hurley wake up in 1977. In the jungle. Jin finds them. In DHARMA uniform. Sawyer organizes their integration. False names. False roles. Jack becomes a maintenance worker. Him, the surgeon. The leader. Worker.

Sayid is captured by DHARMA. A Hostile, they think. A spy for the Others. Sawyer tries to cover for him. Impossible. DHARMA has an interrogator. Oldham. A guy in a tent. Acid on a sugar cube. Sayid talks. Everything. The truth. "I come from the future. You're all going to die." They think he's crazy.
Whatever Happened, Happened
Young Ben is bleeding. Sayid shot him. Jack refuses to operate. "This is the future Ben Linus. Maybe fate just did us a favor." Kate is shocked. He's a child.
Dead Is Dead
Ben wakes up in the present. Locke is alive. Standing. Smiling. Ben is surprised. He killed him with his own hands. How is this possible? Locke wants answers. So does Ben.
Some Like It Hoth
Miles gets a DHARMA mission. Transport a body. In silence. No questions. The dead man had a metal filling. Ripped through his skull. By electromagnetic force. They're building the Swan station. The energy beneath the earth is powerful.
The Variable
Daniel returns. From the submarine. From Ann Arbor. He has a plan. The variables. "We are the variables. People. We can change things." Everyone believed the past was fixed. Daniel says no.
Follow the Leader
Jack takes up Daniel's plan. The bomb. Jughead. Erase everything. Kate refuses. "Everything we've lived through will disappear." Jack insists. "Or maybe everything we've suffered will never happen." Kate leaves. Sayid stays with Jack.
The Incident, Part 1
Opening. Two men on the beach. In front of a statue. Gigantic. Four toes. A ship on the horizon. The Black Rock. One of the men is Jacob. The other, his enemy. Nameless. "You know how badly I want to kill you." — "One day you'll find a way." They watch the ship approach.

The Swan site. Magnetic energy breaks free. The drilling hit the pocket. All metal gets sucked in. The chains. The tools. Phil takes a rod through the chest. Jack throws the bomb into the shaft. It doesn't detonate. Nothing.
