Duster canceled on Max — Sawyer and J.J. Abrams reunited, then split again

Josh Holloway (Sawyer in Lost) and J.J. Abrams reunited for the first time since Lost for Duster, a 1970s crime thriller on Max. The pitch from Abrams: "You're a wheel man for the mafia in 1972." Holloway said yes immediately. The show premiered May 15, 2025, with Rachel Hilson co-starring as the first Black female FBI agent. Critics loved it — 92% on Rotten Tomatoes, 83% audience score. Not enough. Max canceled Duster after one season on July 9, 2025. Holloway had openly described his "hard seven years" after Lost during press, and told the Hollywood Reporter he's open to a Lost reboot: "Why not?"

FROM renewed for a fifth and final season — the cursed town gets an ending

MGM+ renewed FROM for a fifth and final season on April 15, 2026 — one day before the Season 4 premiere. Creator John Griffin confirmed five seasons was always the plan, not a forced ending. In a joint statement, showrunner Jeff Pinkner and director Jack Bender — both Lost veterans — wrote: "We are wildly excited to begin work on season 5. Questions will be answered. Answers will be questioned." Griffin described Season 4 as "the beginning of the end." Filming in Halifax starts later in 2026, with Season 5 targeting a 2027 premiere. Harold Perrineau (Michael in Lost) stars as Sheriff Boyd Stevens.

Naveen Andrews is Khan — Lost's Sayid voices Star Trek's most iconic villain

Naveen Andrews (Sayid Jarrah in Lost) voices Khan Noonien Singh in Star Trek: Khan, a nine-episode official audio drama available since September 8, 2025 on all major podcast platforms and YouTube. The series — written by Kirsten Beyer and David Mack, from a story by Nicholas Meyer (writer-director of The Wrath of Khan) — covers the 18 years Khan spent in exile on Ceti Alpha V, between his abandonment by Kirk and his revenge in Star Trek II. Wrenn Schmidt co-stars as Lt. Marla McGivers. Andrews set one rule: "I didn't want to do an impression of Ricardo, but I certainly wanted to respect what he had done." On Lost's legacy, he kept it simple: "The first season stands up at any time."

Hurley and Juliet reunite on screen — Jorge Garcia and Elizabeth Mitchell in Summer 2026 comedy

Jorge Garcia (Hurley) and Elizabeth Mitchell (Juliet) from Lost are reuniting on screen in Mick Skylark: Mini Golf Prodigy, a comedy set for Summer 2026. The film follows a child mini golf prodigy who abandons the sport after a tragedy. Garcia and Mitchell join a cast that includes David Koechner, Thomas Lennon, Patrick Warburton, and Robert Knepper. Director Sergio Rizzuto, making his feature debut, describes the film as sitting "somewhere between Happy Gilmore and Young Frankenstein." Filming wrapped in November 2025.
