Charlie finds the jammer code. "Good Vibrations" by the Beach Boys. Programmed by a musician. He enters the notes. The jammer shuts down. A signal comes through. A face on the screen. Penny. Penny Widmore. "Charlie? Where's Desmond?" Charlie asks: "Did you send the freighter?" No. It's not Penny.
Mikhail appears outside. Underwater. Grenade in hand. Water rushes in. Charlie seals the watertight door. From inside. He drowns. But first, he writes on his hand with a marker: "NOT PENNY'S BOAT." Desmond sees him through the porthole. Charlie presses his hand against the glass. Then he sinks.

And in a twist that changes everything: flash-forward. Jack in Los Angeles. Beard. Pills. Alcohol. He meets Kate at the airport. "We have to go back, Kate. We have to go back." They left. And Jack wants to return.
