The Others
Season 3 · 2006 · 23 episodes. We are not alone.
The Others. Their villages, their rules, their Initiative. The island has residents.
A Tale of Two Cities
Shocking opening. A book club. Houses. Music. A residential neighborhood. Then the ground shakes. A plane breaks apart in the sky. The Others look up. Ben gives his orders. "Goodwin, Ethan, infiltrate."
The Glass Ballerina
Sayid has a plan. Desmond's boat. He sails with Sun and Jin to the Others' camp. The idea: light a fire as a signal, set an ambush. Simple.
Further Instructions
Locke wakes up in the jungle. After the implosion. He's alive. But mute. No sound comes out. He builds a sweat lodge. Hut. Fire. Smoke. He needs answers.
Every Man for Himself
Ben takes Sawyer to a medical room. A syringe. A needle in the chest. Ben shows him a rabbit with a heart monitor. He shakes the cage. The rabbit dies. "We implanted the same thing in you. If your heart goes over 140, you die."
The Cost of Living
Eko is wounded. The visions begin. Yemi appears to him. His brother. The priest. The one he killed indirectly. Yemi tells him to confess. To repent. Eko stands up.
I Do
Kate and Sawyer. Two cages. Side by side. The Others make them work. Breaking rocks. Under the sun. The tension between them builds for weeks.
Not in Portland
Jack operates on Ben. The spinal column is open. He makes an incision in the kidney sac. Ben has one hour to live. Unless Kate and Sawyer are freed.
Flashes Before Your Eyes
Desmond sees the future. Since he turned the failsafe key, he knows what's coming. Charlie will die. He saves him once. Then again. But death always comes back.
Stranger in a Strange Land
Jack has Chinese tattoos on his arm. Nobody knows what they mean. Thailand, flashback. Jack meets Achara. A woman who "sees" people. She knows who they really are. Jack insists she tattoo him.
Tricia Tanaka Is Dead
Hurley needs a win. Any win. He finds a DHARMA van flipped over in the jungle. Rusted. Dead. Inside: a skeleton with a DHARMA beer in hand. Roger. Ben's father.
Enter 77
Sayid, Kate and Locke find a farm in the middle of the jungle. The Flame station. A man lives there. Mikhail Bakunin. Missing an eye. He claims to be the last DHARMA member.
Par Avion
Claire has an idea. Birds migrate over the island. Banded seagulls. If she catches one and attaches a message, someone will eventually find it. Simple. Ingenious.
The Man from Tallahassee
Locke shows up at the Others' place. He wants to see Ben. He wants the submarine. He blows it up. Nobody leaves the island anymore. Ben watches him do it. Almost admiring.
Exposé
Nikki and Paulo. Two extras. Nobody knows them. Nobody cares. Then Nikki runs out of the jungle. She collapses. "Paulo lies." Dead. Apparently.
Left Behind
The Others pack up and leave. They abandon their village in one night. Kate wakes up in the jungle. Handcuffed. To Juliet. The two women who hate each other most on the island, chained together.
One of Us
Juliet arrives at the beach camp. With Jack. He trusts her. Nobody else does. Sayid confronts her immediately. "What do you know about us?" Juliet doesn't flinch.
Catch-22
Desmond has a vision. A red parachute. A cable. A woman. And Charlie. Dead. Again. This time, an arrow through the throat.
D.O.C.
Sun is pregnant. The killer question: who's the father? Jin, her husband, who a doctor declared sterile? Or Jae Lee, the man she had an affair with? Juliet offers to help. In secret.
The Brig
Ben gives Locke a test. To join the Others, he must kill his father. Anthony Cooper. Tied to a pillar. Locke can't do it. Ben knew he couldn't. He humiliates him in front of the whole group.
The Man Behind the Curtain
Ben agrees to show Jacob to Locke. Jacob. The name the Others whisper with fear. Their invisible leader. They walk through the jungle. A cabin. Old. Isolated.
Greatest Hits

Through the Looking Glass, Part 1
Charlie dives. The Looking Glass station is there. Underwater. He enters. He's not alone. Two Others women guard the station. They capture him. Tie him up. Beat him. Charlie doesn't talk.
Through the Looking Glass, Part 2
Charlie finds the jammer code. "Good Vibrations" by the Beach Boys. Programmed by a musician. He enters the notes. The jammer shuts down. A signal comes through. A face on the screen. Penny. Penny Widmore. "Charlie? Where's Desmond?" Charlie asks: "Did you send the freighter?" No. It's not Penny.
