The Last Recruit

The Man in Black speaks to Jack. In private. "I was the one who took your father's form. On the island. In the beginning." Christian Shephard in the jungle. It was the monster. Since the first episode. Jack takes the hit.

The groups converge. The Man in Black has Sayid, Claire, and an army. Jack, Hurley, Sun and Frank are with him now too. Sawyer has his own plan. Desmond's sailboat. He recruits Jack, Kate, Hurley, Sun, Frank. They flee while the Man in Black is distracted.

On the sailboat, Claire catches up to them. Armed. Kate convinces her to come. "Come with us. Aaron is waiting for you." Claire lowers her weapon. She boards. Jack watches the island fade away. Then he jumps. "This isn't over. The island isn't done with me." He swims toward shore.

Widmore bombs the beach. Betrayal. The deal with Sawyer is off. The sailboat survivors are captured on Hydra. Jack is thrown by the explosion. The Man in Black carries him. "Don't worry. Everything's fine. You're with me now."

In the other reality, destinies collide at breakneck speed. Sun and Locke arrive at the same hospital. Sun sees Locke on the gurney. "It's him! It's him!" She recognizes him. From another life. Jack is Locke's surgeon. Desmond pulls the strings.

Desmond goes to the police station. He gets himself arrested on purpose. In the next cell: Sayid and Kate. All in the same place. At the same time. This is no coincidence. Nothing is.
